Need help with a formula for an auction house

    Hi All,

I was windering if you can help, I am helping my friend who runs a mall auction housr, and am trying to find the correct formula for an invoice he would produce to someone who gave him goods to sell.

If the value of any item sold is less then £5, then the minimum charge would be £1 (I know this works out at IF<6.666666)
but if the value os over this amount then the charge incurred would be 15% (so anything above 6.666 would be 15% of selling price). I can get this to work in a single cell....but not for multiple cells...HELP!!!

    Hi Davey72

So what you are saying is, if the product is less then £5.00 there is a minimum charge on top! ie: £4.99 + £1.00 = £5.99. If it was over £5.00 + 15%. ie:£5.75 + 15% = £6.61.Is that correct!
Assuming the amount is in A1, In B1:

Hi Tigeravatar....that works perfectly, thank you....the only problem is that he has about 20 lones on his invoice, so , say if he sells only 6 items, then the blank lines where nothing is sold show show ), but with the formula you have kindly given me it still shows 1.

So what im saying id that if the value is Zero, then commission Zero also.....

Thank you again Tigeravatar, that has worked perfectly..the way I was trying was =If(A1,6.66666,1,A1*0.15) kind of thing, and kept getting one, and couldn't figure out the zero value.

    Best Regards

    Davey
