Data Manipulation: How to dynamically filter and sort a multi-column data set

    Hi there,

Data manipulation question here: Does anyone know how to dynamically filter and sort a multi-column data set? My end goal is to be able to (1) quickly collapse all columns into one single column, (2) remove all duplicates, and (3) sort the information in ascending order. A reference sheet is attached in case it's helpful.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    deturnbull,

    Welcome to the Excel Forum.

    Detach/open workbook GetUniqueLineItemCodes ScriptingDictionary w1range lcplus2 sorted list - deturnbull - EF907495 - SDG17.xlsm and run the GetUniqueLineItemCodes macro.

The macro processed your raw data in 0.031 seconds.

And, with your Month titles in row 6, beginning in cell B6, the macro will adjust for a varying number of Months.
    Have a great day,
    Stan

    Stan,

Do you have any recommendations for how to really learn VBA? Should I just consult Youtube videos and learn on the fly, or is there a better, more programmatic way to go about it?

    Thanks again,
    Daniel
