Linking Templates to diff sheet in same workbook?

OK, eyes going crossed and patience worn thin.
Probably very basic but I am noob.

I have a master list of names etc.
I downloaded a basic inventory template with 9 columns(perfect) and copied to a new sheet in workbook.
How do I Link the 2 sheets ?
I think I have vlookup figured (yet to be seen) but I need to link the first column(A) in inventory sheet to 2nd column(B) in master sheet for the item codes.

Sorry but I think you are relying too much on telepathy to understand what you are asking.

Can you post a small sample workbook which shows what you are working with and what you want the result to look like.

That may give the old telepathy a kick.
