Cell Format

Hi,
I have a drop down list that is linked to some pivot tables, these pivot tables have separate information consisting of costs, production figures and averages. i have 1 cell that displays the results when i click on one of the drop down lists. The problem i am having is that i cannot find a way to display the results correctly automatically, is there a way that the cell automatically updates the format from production numbers without decimal places, to money with decimal places with a £ sign to decimal places without a £ sign. Basically there are 6 pivot tables, i have cells opposite these that mirror the exact pivot table results, on another sheet i have a drop down list which pulls the data from the mirrored cells, the drop down lists shows the names of these tables, i have one cell that displays a result from any of the 6 tables i click on, these tables have data in varying forms displaying decimal points, £ with decimal points and numbers ranging up to a couple of million. It get so annoying because it doesn't look right when certain results are displayed. Thank you very much for trying oeldere.
