Showing Names and data on sheet from a "database" sheet

Hi, I was hoping to get some help with a spreadsheet I have for footballing stats. I am was trying to get a "database" on one sheet with players and info etc filled in on that sheet. Then on a second sheet I wanted boxes to show the top players in each position according to their rating. I was going to try and RANK them, and then VLOOKUP in the tables. I'm not sure that would work now and was hoping that someone could come up with a better way to do it? Ive attached the workbook so you can see what I mean.

    Hi

It would be advisable to merge names (Forename & surname) using concatenate function or give them payer no & use vlookup function.

I ended up sorting them by their rating and then using that as their ID. The main issue is trying to get the data into the second sheet. So if I deleted players or added new ones would the second sheet "move up" the players remaining or move down if a better player was added etc.

Ive done what I want it to show with the 1st Player on the list. Obviously I want it done automatically without me adding it in tho. Ive also changed some headings to make it easier to understand everything that's needed.

Re: Showing Names and data on sheet from a "database" sheet

Well, in the database sheet they play in a main position. However some players can also play in other positions too. EG: If you look at Paul Mayo in the list, hes mainly a Left Defender, however he can also play Left Midfield. Hence Role 2. Rate 2 is the rating given to him in this position. This will be useful to be shown in the Boston Utd sheet under M L for example (although in this example, I dont use M L so its not listed. However in other players that play CD and DL for example, they should appear in the Boston Utd tables in both positions according to their rating) Ive added more players to help show what I mean.
