    Automatically color cells in relation to data entered

    Ok, so I know how to do basic formulas in Excel but I are hoping that there is a macro or a VBA or something that can be made which might work for what i need.

    I have decided to start a small tour shop (I make the reservations for guests with a hotel in the area and take them on tours of our region) and are looking to make a booking sheet for each month. Nothing complicated just simple.
    please see the attached .xlsx file.

    I was wondering if there is a way that when the fields in column A & B are filled in if it could automatically color the corresponding dates in for the same row in the calendar area? like I have manually done on sheet "October 2013"

    I honestly don't know if that is possible but if it is I would really appreciate if anyone out there could help me.

    Thanks Barb.

    I have received some help here with one of my questions http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/excel-q...ml#post3562329

    Done with Conditional Formatting

    I used "=IF(LEN($M6)>1,TRUE,FALSE)"

    It is applied by Adding a Name in Column "M". Ohh wow, I didn't even see columns A-H (the WB was saved shifted over). Just noticed that when I said column "M" and not "D". Ehrrr Sorry for the confusion.

    Try this... This time it makes sense.

    I used the dates.

    "=AND($A7<=P$4,$D7>=P$4)"

    Ahhh yes that works, cool, you guys are so knowledgeable in excel.
    Lastly is there any way to have this without it showing the word False - so when it is false is simply displays nothing? .... or is that not possible?

    Totally forgot to add THANK YOU so much i really appreciate your help.

    Re: Is this possible in Excel somehow?

    A slight adjustment and we can hide the false...

    =IF(AND($A7<=P$4,$D7>=P$4),TRUE,"")
    HTH
