Question Concatenating values for duplicate data cells

I'm not sure how to clearly articulate my need but I'll try.

I thought I could create an IF() to identify duplicate entries and then concatenate the unique values associated with the duplicates using the IF formula. I couldn't figure it out.

    Context:
Several co-workers were given the same data set, to 'check' boxes based on their ownership or shared ownership, now we're trying to combine the files and concatenate the unique values associated with the duplicate cells. Example below.

Re: Need Help: Concatenating values for duplicate data cells

    Hi thefuzzybear,

Do you want the result for 5344655 to be 'URB, DSG, TSA' & appear in the Column to the right of the Rows where 5344655 is shown?

Is there a possibility of more than 3 different values per number?
Remember you are unique, like everyone else

Yes. More than 3 would be ideal. We found a temporary work around using additional tabs & a conditional IF formula to concatenate and then a Vlookup formula. It works but still looking for a more efficient & sustainable process.

Re: Concatenating values for duplicate data cells

    Welcome to the forum thefuzzybear,

you can attach a real workbook instead of pictures so members would not retype your data and other members could not open pictures..

Just make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

An example file of this workaround & explanation of what you're trying to achieve would be good to help understand what you're after as vlady advised.
