Need to be able to type 1 letter and oull up the list of words with that letter

I have already created my drop down box along with my long list of options. At this point, I have to scroll down to choose one. I would like to be able to type in the first letter of the word and only those words beginning with that letter should appear. I am a beginner so please be specific

Hi Jacqui,

a Data Validation drop-down does not have an AutoComplete facility like you describe, but you can have that functionality if you use a Combo box instead. Debra Dalgleish show how to set this up here:
