Help Creating a Whole new Worksheet.

I'm not sure if this is something that anyone can help with. I'm creating a Log, so to speak, of Refrigerant bought and sold YTD. I need to reflect :
    • The Technician that Bought/Sold Refrigerant,
    • How much refrigerant was Bought and Sold,
    • Total bought and Total Sold
    • Customer for which it was used for,
    • Service Order #,
    • What action was used(Leaking,Charged,Top off,etc),
    • Model# And Serial # of unit refrigerant was used for
    • MOst importantly the Month

I need to have it so that bought and sold match up YTD always. So if for some reason they dont match i can look at the information to determine why not.

I've been trying to play with this and cant seem to think of a logical way of making this Log. Any help is greatly appreciated.

...Well, this sounds more like an Access application than an Excel application, but if you have Excel...

I'd generally: have a worksheet that's data, and a worksheet that's for reports. Put all the info you want to keep track of in a table on the Data Tab. Then build reporting forms on the Report tab. I like, just plopped junk around and here's what the result was.

Well, having said all this, I feel like the most expensive part of this operation is quickly going to become data entry. If you've got your data in a well-organized table, then doing the analysis isn't too hard, but having somebody spending twenty minutes a day keying orders into this would add up really quick. That's where Access would save you money compared to excel, are the entry forms.

ben_hensel. although it looks very close to what im looking for I dont think i can use it the way I need it to. I Might very well need to go Access on this. However, I attached 2 files. The one that we are currently using and something i tried creating. My goal is to kind of combine the formats to get the desired data. Thanks again
