Splitting a Table into Two Tables

Hi:

I have a table of two columns, but I want them to be two separate but adjacent tables. Any tips? Thanks.

Insert a new blank column between them ?

That was the first thing I tried, but then I just had a table with 3 columns. Eventually I found the "Convert to Range" button under Table Tools>Design>Tools, and I converted the table to normal cells and then made two new, better, tables. Thanks anyway!
