    Using excel to schedule roster

    Hi there,
    Can you help me to schedule roster for my shift working hours as per detail below:

    Shift time:
    2-afternoon shift
    1/3-morning/night shift
    4-restday
    5-10am to 6pm
    off-offday

    Total staff is 110

    Total working position in one day is 30 position based on alpabet which is:
    FS,AR,AP,BA,BB,BC,BRC,CA,CB,CC,CRC,ET,EU,EV,EA,EB,EF,ERC,FA,FF,FG,FK,FE,RC,FL,T,P,S,STBY,X

    This 30 position must be fill in each day as per shift time above.

    The office working position is 12 position based on alphabet below:
    XG,XR,XS,XA,XTR,XK,XBJ,XTG,XBS,WP,XM,KUR

    Ive tried and still failed until now. please help me to solve this issue

    Hello Shy,

    welcome to the forum. I'd be happy to help.

    What is the logic for scheduling work? For example, which people are assigned to what work? How many off days for each person? What's the difference between Shift 4 - rest day - and off day? What's the difference between working position and office position?

    These are just example of questions you'll need to answer when explaining the logic of the sheet.
