inserting image to cell/merged cells as background fixed to cell's size.

i have tried all i knew.

i need to place picture into one cell or one big merged cell, as a background fill. picture must resize to size of cell. must be fixed in, not in front.
i still need write into that cell, so it needs to be really background.

I don't think what you want can be achieved.

You can do a UDF to insert an image on to a cell and size it appropriately. This kind of thing

but this doesn't let you write over the top.

You could perhaps also add a text box over the cell as well to give the illusion of what you want but this seems a lot of work.

simply what i want:
to have not original white fill in cell. put instead of it picture.
cell must work normally as before
