Hi,
This is my second post on this forum. I am new to VBA and Macros.
I need to automatically change the sheet names based on cell values. The information in each worksheet is in a merged cell.
Thank you

Hello Elizabet, and welcome to the forums
The volunteers who provide help on this forum are some amazing people with an astounding range of knowledge, as you monitor the forum and look at various threads and the responses you will see some brilliant results.
Please take a moment to read the forum rules so that you have an idea of what is "good form"
One tip that will help you get responses quickly is to always add into (see the *go advanced link at the bottom of this input panel) your posting a sample workbook that contains a clear example of your problem and the expected outcomes. As volunteers we (unfortunately) have a tendency to bypass requests that require us to second guess exactly what your spreadsheet looks like. Just remember this is a very public, worldwide forum so please ensure you do not have any sensitive or confidential data in your spreadsheet,
In this particular case, it is a little unclear where the cell values are, is it a new sheet you are adding that you want named in a particular fashion etc.
Have you tried to record a macro where you manually perform the actions to see what that provides as a "clue" to start with?
IN your "pdf" question, do you want the whole page or a range withing the page turned into pdf.... the more info you can provide in each thread the more likely youa re to get a result
Again, welcome to the forum on a sunny Melbourne day

I am absolutely new to VBA and Macros. How do you automatically name a worksheet based on two cell values. One of the cells is merged and contains the name of the individual. The other has a data validation with the date format yyyy/mm/dd. I know some characters such as "/" in the date format maybe illegal. If it is, how would I code it so that it would change to this format yyyy.mm.dd. I want the worksheet to read "Name yyyy.mm.dd" for every worksheet in the workbook based on cell value inputs.
