Currently I receive 5 text files with information with data loaded into a financial management system. I currently maintain the data received from these files in an Access database. If a transaction is not found in the system, I refer back to the database and see if I can determine if it was a bad file or just a single bad transaction.
I am trying to build a macro that handles the full text conversion to the database export. There are two areas I am having trouble with currently. I will post the code at the bottom and highlight the coding issues in bold red font.
The first issue is I cannot seem to get Excel to select the range from the saved workbook as opposed to my Personal workbook where the code is stored. It seems like this should be so simple and yet the answer continues to elude me.
The second issue is with opening the record set or table I am trying to append the data to. I keep getting an error.
