Cool Easy filtering method via vba/formula/advanced filtering?

    Good Day,

I have a workbook (attached). On sheet 2 "DATA" is al my major data. Divided by Info and reference columns.

On sheet 1 "INFO" I have a search bar and a space for results.

Now, All I need is a formula, or VBA or advanced Filter (whichever works best) that allows me to do the following:

    - When info is put in cell C2 of INFO sheet., I want it to search all references of that text or number string in the REFERENCE columns of the DATA sheet.
    - It should then list the values in column A and B on the INFO sheet (Under results)
    - If there are numerous results, I would like it if it shows them all listed there.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Jed,

As you have realized the structure of your data isn't good for Excel to deal with. It would be better if converted to a better structure. See the attached where I've included a macro to convert the data. Run the macro on your data sheet and it will give you the data that is on the new sheet. See if the data in the new structure is better for your needs.

Also - you will need to delete your first row before running the macro as it has merged cells in it.

Does not work to my needs.

For example. If I search e0060, it should list all the parts / descriptions below results that that serial is on.

The structure of the DATA sheet cannot change, due to system restrictions on my side.

    OK Jed,

Here is my answer. Change the text in C2 on the Info sheet and it will do what I think you want. I've put some VBA code behind the Info sheet and also in a module to do the work.
