Return Stored function in Access from Excel

I'm trying to figure out how to return the qryParse that is stored in Access 2010 by running it in Excel 2010 with ADO.

I can run a stored query like this that does not use an Access function, but not this one that uses an Access function.

Re: Return Stored function in Access from Excel

There are several workarounds I can think of, but would like to see if it's possible to have the query utilize the access function.

The easiest workaround is to create a calculated field in the table that does the parsing and then return the records for it.

Another workaround would be to dump the unparsed field into excel and perform the parse.

Any ideas on making this work?

I doubt this example will help but worth a shot I guess.

Thanks Kenneth - I'd like to avoid the make table in excel route; trying to avoid using the worksheets at all. If no one else has a better approach, I'll probably go with making a calculated field in a table approach.
