Using VBA to Open, Click in or And Pull info from Web Pages???

    Hello,

I've been searching all over the net for just a basic way to open a website and figure out how to have VBA go in and type words in a field and click 'go', 'search', 'submit'

    also,

Vice Versa, If I open a web page (without VBA), How do I make it so that once that web pages opens, VBA is triggered to pull info from a text box on that web page?

I can't find any straight forward solution nor a decent step by step instruction.

Like I can get to opening the web page but after that when it comes to inspecting the source code I get bummed out, HELP!

    Hello swade730,

In my experience, there is no easy way to open a website and have VBA manipulate it. So on this point, I believe you are SOL.

As for the second part of your question, a web query is the easiest method.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

The part of the code that shows how to find the search box in the source code and enter the "Hello World" text is what is fascinating and at the same time perplexing to me.
Ofcourse there is no easy way, That's why I'm on the forum asking what is the technique or the logic behihnd it.
Is there a book that specializes in this type of automation?
