    Filtering item numbers with "Begins With"

    I am writing a Macro to auto format, and sort an export from a data base. I am running into a problem trying to filter item number and placing them on their own worksheet.
    I need to separate out the the following;
    BL100, BL102, BL104, from BL1000, BL1005, and etc. I am having this problem in several areas.
    I have tried filtering BL10*, and BL100*, however I am still getting all item numbers stated above.

    Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

    Here is a sample of what I am getting and what I am trying to get it to do.
    I am trying to get the macro to filter the "Formatted Data" tab and copy and paste the filtered item numbers to their own tabs. The tabs labeled "BL100" & "BL1000" are what I am currently getting. "BL100 - Want" & BL1000 - Want" tabs are obviously what I am trying to accomplish.Sample.xlsx

    Re: Filtering item numbers with "Begins With"

    I solved this problem by inserting "BL10?" and BL10??*" on the "Begins With" filter.
    This ID the number of characters to filter.
