Puzzling autoclose msgbox macro behaviour

Hi all,

I have incorporated a block of code from MVP Tom Urtis (see below) into one of my macros as a means of keeping the user informed on what is happening

So far so good

My issue is that if I open the workbook and execute my import macro that calls this code then it work a treat.

If however I then (not having closed and restarted excel) add in some new data to import and run the import macro the timer does not automatically close the dialog box and I need to manually click the OK button.

for the life of me I cannot understand what is happening here??

I could not reproduce the problem you describe.

I was able to run code multiple times without issue. Can you post example workbook?

In my experience the Popup method is unreliable. I'd suggest you use a userform instead.
