Need spreadsheet to automatically generate work order numbers

I am looking for a spreadsheet that will automatically generate a work order number. I work for an HVAC company and we generate work orders for all service calls. I need a spreadsheet that will have the following information in it and automatically generate the next number.
Must have:
date work order generated
work order number
customer name
brief description of call or work to be performed

Can anyone out there help me?

Thanks! I actually made a very similar spreadsheet right after I posted this but I do like the Work Order number format you showed much better (WO-14-001). I was just using WO-10001.

I use this style of auto-numbering, but we use one sheet per year. So next year starts a new sheet and new year format.
