A macro, or formula and direct entry in the one cell?

    Hi Guys,

I think a macro might work here, but I need help with it. Is there a way to incorporate these 3 boxes into one? So if I enter a figure into any cell, it will calulate it for the other two? Without overwriting the exisiting formula. I have attached the problem.

    Thanks in advance,

    Green

i assume you mean the Blue Boxes

what is the correlation between the blue boxes?
it doesnt seem to be anything "formula" related?

Yes, the blue boxes are where i want to enter manual data, for example, C2, would be yearly salary, manually entered, B2 and A2 are simple sums to work out monthly and fortnightly income. But not everyone knows their yearly income, so you can enter your fortnightly (or monthly) income in A8, and B8 and C8 get calculated.

I just didnt want 3 seperate income boxes, I was hoping you could manually enter any of the incomes, fortnighly, monthly or yearly and have the other two fields calculate regardless all in the one box.

Does that clear it up any?

    OK
you dont really need VBA but you do need to control/ask what frequency they have
    Fortnight/Monthly/Yearly

i have put a DV (data Validation/Drop down box) in Cell F2 and input box in G2

The formulas they spit the result is a simple nested IF formula (as there are only 3 conditions i wasnt hard to map out the predicted outcomes) which calculations based on what frequency you select
