    Search Function in Excel

Does anybody know how I could create a search function with this document attached. I want to be able to pull the kids name, location & information over to a search engine when looking for them because I will have over 40 different worksheets with numerous names on each of them.

    Very possible.

I take it sheet Arcadia would be considered a location to search and more locations would be added formatted the same way?

    Re: Search Function in Excel

    Hello,

    Please see the attached file.
The search page has been updated and a settings page has been added.

On the settings page enter all locations in row B starting B2.
Add all location sheets when you have time. (not required to test)
All other settings should already be correct.

To search go back to the Search sheet.
Press the button Open Search Form and enter your search criteria

The Location is always required. If not entered you will be notified of so.
If a location is in the list but no sheet created you will be notified of so.
If you enter to much search criteria and there is no match then you will be notified of so.

If you search by name, if using first and last name then the full last name is required and you can use partial or full first name with it.
Optionally you can just enter part of the first or part of the last name individually to search a name.

The search field does not reset after each search encase you want to build a list of different searches. When you want to start the search over from scratch you can press the Clear Search Results button on the Search sheet while the form is open or closed.

You can also print your search results by clicking the Print Search Results button.

There may be more so just play with it and if you need some adjusting or run into any issues just let me know.
