Edit-Find has stopped working in the VB Editor

In the VB Editor, when I click the binocular icon nothing happens. When I press CTL+F, nothing happens. If I highlight a string and do either of the above, then press F3 (Find Next) it will find the string. Has anyone else come across this issue in Excel 2010? Is there a simple trick to getting the dialog box to open up?

The problem seems to come and go of it's own accord.

    Dialogically deficient....

Finally found the solution. This happens on dual monitor setups where the VBE is on a different window to the workbook. The search window redisplays if you put them in the same window.
