Need to link two workbooks. Dissapearing data in one and Sum of data in the other.

So I need two seperate workbooks. One workbook is going to be password protected for the owner of a business to see some financial totals of his businesses daily profits. The other workbook will be the source of these totals. The employees are going to enter the money made at the end of the night into the source workbook, which I need to populate into the destination workbook. The trick is that I need those numbers in the source, once entered, to dissapear so that they don't remain for the employees to look at. So I guess it might be VBA or something, but a couple input boxes for totals which automatically sum in the destination. It's going to be a daily thing so if it can somehow be sorted in the destination by day or week that would be great. I know how to password protect and link workbooks, I just don't have a solution for getting input to dissapear in the source workbook. Thanks!

First, just so you know, excel password protection is only secure against people who don't know how to run macros. It will stop most people from trying, but if it's really important that it's protected, you'll have to use something else.

Second, yes, this can be done via vba. You should create two sample workbooks and upload them.
