xlOpen RecordEntry no longer functions under Windows 8.1

Hello,

I've been testing a piece of educational software I developed as an Excel 2013 worksheet under Windows XP, and recently moved to Windows 8.1.

Under XP, the code below, assigned to an image, would open an empty .wav file on a hidden page, and allow the user to record through a microphone. It functioned very successfully.

Under Windows 8.1, the same operation throws up a message box with "Rename Package" (see attached screenshot).

I'll add in passing that as an associated problem, under W 8.1, I can no longer insert embedded .wav or sound objects, as these no longer appear in the objects menu.

Any help very much appreciated.
