Hello Groovicles,
Or maybe some as per the attached sample Workbook.

Hi
Thanks very much! The colours are coming up, but for some reason case eee - eee seems to be copying the colour of the previous selection. So if i selected aaa and then eee - eee then eee - eee will be the same colour as aaa. Its the same thing for all other selections and only occurs with eee - eee. Weird huh? Any ideas?
Hello Groovicles,
O.K. I see your issue.
Please try this Workbook.
Regards.
@ Winon - nice workaround. I'm still confused why the first code did not work??

@ JOHN H.DAVIS,
Thank you for the feedback.
Beats me as well, since your code, hard coded and all, did not present the problem as described by Groovicles.
What I did was to provide Groovicles with a list in which s/he may change the criteria to match.
In any case, it is a comendable contribution from your side!
Regards.
Hi Winon,
Thanks very much for your help! I see the different method you took. Unfortunately, I'm getting the same strange results as with John's. eee-eee gets the same colour as was shown just previous to it being selected. This is so strange.
Did you try Post#7?
Hello Groovicles,
Check and see if you do not perhaps have Conditional Formatting applied to that Cell. If so, delete the Conditional Formats.
Regards.
hi everyone,
No conditional formatting, and i tried post #7 with the same result. This is unbelievable!!! I think i might just leave it.
Hello Groovicles,
Thank you for the confirmation.
Please confirm if it does it also on the Workbook I had sent you.
Regards.
Hello Groovicles,
I have just checked the Workbook as posted in Post#5, and it works just fine!
I would suggest you open Excel, and run Microsoft Office Diagnostics. It may take a while, but I suspect that it will solve your problem.
Please see this link how to (hopefully), fix your problem.
