Running total from a daliy worksheet into a montly total.

Hi All, new to this forum and to Excel. i am trying to create a very basic workbook that has 2 worksheets. one is a daily input for tonnes, that then just gets cut and pasted to a different program, and the other worksheet is the running total. ie it adds up every time you update it.
been trying to figure out a macro so when you press the update button it then just updates the monthly total.

any help is much appreciated

thanks, the reason a macro would be used because the c column is the one to be filled out (backflush) and this number changes every day, and then these numbers need to be to create the monthly total of each product.

no there isnt a sheet for every day. that is why i was trying to create a macros to eliminate having to have a sheet for everyday.
cause if there was, that is simple to create a running total.
that is correct. type in the daily production hit update then the monthly sheet is updated.
