Macro to state exact amount OR allow user to enter data?

I posted this in the formula section but I've had no responses so I'm assuming it isn't straightforward and a macro is the solution. I have no experience with Macro so I don't know where to being. I've been racking my brains and can't find a solution. All I've been working with the logical "IF" option.

So basically the cell C3 allows two drop down list options, weekly or daily.

In C6 I have a currency which is dependant upon the selection made in C3.

    If C3 = Weekly then C6 must neccesarily = £12.00
If C3 = Daily then C6 can be anything between £0.01 and £6.00 which the user can enter.

What formula can I enter for this? I went to Data Validation and chose "Custom" and entered:

Sheet3 A15 to A615 is the range of £0.01 to £6.00. This doesn't seem to work. If I choose Weekly it works but the "12" isn't displayed, it remains blank (but the calculations based on it further down work fine). If I chose Daily it remains blank but if I try entering say £2.50 it says invalid as it is restricted.

I'm obviously going about it the wrong way so I'm not sure what to do here... Help please?
