Unexpected error message

I have an auto_open procedure which clears a worksheet then pulls down data from text files, then combines two of the text files. It has worked perfectly through the development.
This is the code I use

The two files combined are "Rectangles" and "CutterList"
The problem is that I get an "Application defined or Object defined Error" on Sheets("Combined").Range("C2:R50000").Clear

I can clear the sheet manualy. I ran a little macro but this gave the same error
The sheet exists so what is gong on? What do I need to look for?

I now think that my problem may be caused because the combine sub includes the line

and Rectangle_Table is a QueryTable. I would therefore like to change the code so that I only paste values. Can anyone help me with this please I have not managed to find how.
