Excel 2013 VBA Project Password Problem

    Hi all,

I have done this since Excel 97. Haven't programmed Excel in 2013, so I was shocked and puzzled when this doesn't work. What I want to do is to make a sheet very hidden and then put a password on my VBA project so no one can change the sheet's back to visible without the password. I did it as I did many times before: get into the VBA window, call up the Properties window of the sheet I want to hide, change its Visible property to 2 xlSheetVeryHidden, open the VBAProject Properties Window, go to the Protection tab, check the Lock Project for Viewing box, put in a password and its confirmation, and then save the file. But when I open the file up, I could get into the VBA window and my project without a password, and when I check the VBAProject Properties setting, the password is not there!

Anyone knows what can be happening with my Excel 2013?

Thanks a lot for reading and responding!

I'm pretty sure this applies to other versions, not just 2013. I tried it not so long back in 2007, exactly the same scenario. I'm guessing you maybe need a code module to convince it that it's macro enabled.

This is it! Until you mentioned it, I didn't notice Excel 2013 didn't have a default module container like the previous versions. Many thanks! And go Red Devils!
