Counting the number of times the same data appears in a table

Hi everyone,

I have a table with two columns.

PartNum Loaction
CCN01905 J6
CCN01905 J100
CCN01905 J200
CCN01905 J300
CCN01905 J400
CCN04455 J800
CCN05363 J3
CCP01960 C1
CCP01960 C3

I would like to create another table (in a new sheet) which displays the number of times each PartNum appears in the first table.

PartNum QTY
CCN01905 5
CCN04455 1
CCN05363 1
CCP01960 2

The amount of rows in a table is variable and can reach thousands of rows

I would be very grateful for any help.

use a pivot table
select the data
insert/pivot table
choose "new sheet "
then select part number and drag into row labels and repeat drag into values close the window
