Creating a table for daily data entry over a month based on list of assets.

I have posted virtually the same topic in the excel general forum as I originally wished to determine how to do this without using Macros but since I have not yet got an answer, I would like to know how to do this using a macro, also I think it would be a much neater way of achieving the same thing.

Essentially on one sheet I have a list of assets and then the possible shifts they can work (night and day). On a seperate sheet for the month specified (using the date of the start of month) I would like to generate a table ready for data entry such that it looks as I have shown in the example workbook I have attached. I have only done this manually for the first 3 days as it is very time consuming, thus I would like to automate this process with a macro. This list will obviously need to change in length depending on the number of days in the month.
