Paste fails first time

Anyone know why this might fail the first time? Getting a run time error on Activesheet.Paste line.

I'm copying the text from a .PDF. It only works the second time I run the macro and everytime thereafter.

Did you try it and if so do you still get an error?

yes. I shutdown the computer to verify it fails the first time. The second time it works.

Do you mean it is still copying on the same cell? I do not know anything about keys.

Yes - it pastes to cell A1 correctly.
