Simplify: Can I even copy a worksheet from one instance of excel into another instance?

Ok, trying to simplify my task greatly. I am simply trying to copy a worksheet from one instance of Excel into a worksheet of another instance of Excel.

Sounds like a simple task (see previous post), but I have not been able to figure it out. Specifically, I am trying to copy a worksheet from one instance of Excel into a worksheet of another instance of Excel and then save the copied worksheet into a file with the current month and day in the title. Can anyone help with a simple example? Thank you.

REcord a macro of you doing it, then inspect/use/modify the code. This is what i did recording copying PriceLIstStart to another workbook

    Hope this helps

Sometimes its best to start at the beginning and learn VBA & Excel.

Please dont ask me to do your work for you, I learnt from Reading books, Recording, F1 and Google and like having all of this knowledge in my head for the next time i wish to do it, or wish to tweak it.

Yes, but are you moving it into a new instance of excel, or a new workbook in the same instance? Do you understand having two instances of Excel running?

Your post does not comply with Rule 8 of our Forum RULES. Do not crosspost your question on multiple forums without including links here to the other threads on other forums.

Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. The last thing you want to do is waste people's time working on an issue you have already resolved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser) to the cross-post.

Expect cross-posted questions without a link to be closed and a message will be posted by the moderator explaining why. We are here to help so help us to help you!

Read this to understand why we ask you to do this, and then please edit your first post to include links to any and all cross-posts in any other forums (not just this site).
If posting code please use code tags, see here.
