I have a ton of dates in Month/date/year format already and excel 2003 only recognizes year/month/day. Does anyone know what I can do about these dates?
ex. I have 01/04/2015, 01/09/2028, etc which excel will put next to each other since they are both in january
I want 01/04/2015 to be sorted next to 02/04/2015. Excel will only do this for dates in the Year/Month/Date form.

goto the control panel and change the regional settings - what country are you in and what are your regional settings

Would like to see an example of your data and also a manual mock up of the expected results you want to achieve.
To attach a file to your post,
click "Go advanced" (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage Attachments",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"
Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
