Import data from multiple files

Hi,

Bit of a novice but I'm trying to collate man hours from multiple timesheets into a master worksheet. I scanned through a few forums but cannot find any that suit multiple files.
I’m trying to get the macro within the master.xlsx to look for files (currently named 11-8-14.xlsx and 12-8-14.xlsx) in the same directory or a subfolder and copy over the total manhours for the completed activities.

For example: for the 11 Aug 2014, I’m trying to get the master to look for the 11-8-14.xlsx (based on the dates in Row 1 of the master file), grab the total man-hours (currently for ALQ-015 and ALQ-020) and input the total times in the master sheet against those two activities under the 11-8-14 column.

I can do this manually using vlookup and modify each column to reference each individual daily timesheet but I’d prefer a macro as this removes human error when copying cells etc as we may need to add rows for extra activities.

Any help would be appreciated.
