Creating an excel template to fill in the barcodes

    Hello,
Attached in an image of what I am looking for. It is a table with non-formatted text boxes. I would like to have a template ready as shown in the pic.
All the user would have to do is type in the number and the barcode will be added.
Now I know that I will have to download the package for barcodes. But my main issue is to have the template ready.
The fields are always going to be the same (for example: Part#, PO#, Rel No. and so on)
Hope I could explain it somewhat to get an idea.
    Thank you in advance!

take a look at the worksheet....I set it up so that if nothing is in the fields it sets the "bar code" field to blank....yes, you will have to format the barcode with a barcode font....I tested it 3of9 code...

    Thank you for replying back.
I can download the barcode font.
But could you please elaborate as to how you created this worksheet.
I will have to program the process but I cannot even have myself to do it manually yet :-(

Re: Creating an excel template to fill in the barcodes

Although they don't look like it....everything is in a cell.

there is a formula in each of the barcode fields just to keep things clean

the borders are just the outside border setup...

the barcode cells really just look at the cell above and mimic that into the cell....the formatting is the "magic" part....you must Install the font onto your system....mine was called 3of9.ttf
I just right clicked and chose install....restarted XL (not sure that is needed) and it picked up the new font...right at the top of the list...

then I turned off the grid to make it look clean...

    does that help?
