Macro to extract certain rows based on contents of A:A and add them to new workbooks

    Afternoon everyone,

I have just begun working on an assignment dealing with data collection and I am in the process of setting up macros to sort the collected data into an appropriate format.

The workbook that is generated as part of the data collection contains many different 'asset' types. Each type has various different data fields that have been populated.

The desired outcome is as follows:

A workbook to be created for each 'asset' type containing all entries for that particular type along with the relevant data field titles.
This process to be repeated for each 'asset' type.

I have begun to manipulate some existing code that I was able to locate however my VB knowledge is currently a little too limited for this task. I would greatly appreciate any assistance that is made available to me.

I have attached a sample document below.

    Thank you in advance.

    Ethan

You posted a workbook with data but no indicator of what you are trying to do expect for the words above which dont get me very far.

Can you post a workbook with sample data, then with an example of what you are trying to get to (an END state...which can be flat values or whatever) so we can see what you are trying to do?

Thanks for getting back to me MikeTRON. Apologies...

The newly attached document contains the desired end result.

I would essentially be looking to extract all entries that are of the same type (based on the contents of A:A ie 'Gates') and then add them to new individual sheets or workbooks.
