DEAR ALL ,
This is my first querry in 4 years. Problem is my clients sentds goods with 2 different rate of vat ie 5 % & 12.5 . Now They just Gives net amount like 2000 vat amount 175 I want a macro or formula to workout net amount @ 5 % ie 1000 in above example and net amount 12.5 % ie 1000 in above example please help

Dear Hanif, I am having difficulty making sense of your post.

I assume that by NET AMOUNT, you mean that the invoice amount BEFORE VAT is 2,000. You then mention a VAT amount of 175. I cannot see how with a tax of 5% or 12.5% there is a relationship between 175 and 2000 (or the 1000 you refer to later).

If there is a VAT charge of 5%, and the VAT is 175, the invoice amount has to be 3500 (175/.05). (1400 if it is 12.5%)

Please have a look at what you have said, and clarify - perhaps by actually posting a workbook with a real example. It will make it easier to help you.
