Merge & unmerge

Hi all.
May I have a little help?
I have a sheet with some functions and I protect this with password. Now I have a range A1:J20 and in this range I want every day to write some different text. My problem is: when sheet is protected I can't merge or unmerge cells. Can I have some button for merge and unmerge? First I write my text, next select cells for merge because i must have text in one cell and last, align left. After that, next day I want delete this text and unmerge cells. At least, can I have a button for merge cells and one for unmerge in protected sheet? Thanks a lot.

Why do you want to merge cells? Most of us caution against merged cells at all. They cause too much trouble with all sorts of things. I advise you to ignore them. Upload the workbook and show exactly what you want to see.

I want to merge selected cells because i have to insert a text about 100~120 characters and this is difficult to read the text next. OK tomorrow I'll upload my excel book to see what i need.

Why can't you use Wrap Text if it's a question of seeing all the text in a single cell?

I set cell to wrap text, column width to 76 and row height adjusted as needed, by itself...

Its can't be done because I have the dimensions of columns as I want.
I have submit the real sheet with the dimensions that i work. I explain inside what i need.
