close open workbook

I'm having some issues closing an open workbook. Basically in my code, several workbooks get opened and data gets copied in, then the workbooks that have data imported get closed..... anyway, to make a long story short.....

this works.... but when I have a user select a file to open, the line to close the workbook doesn't function

ps. fNameAndPath1 is defined as a string....
