Shared Excel Macro

    Hello folks, I'm working on a macro to input data from a manufacturing production line and it is required to be a shared workbook for 2 type of users (one that only inputs dates and other that inputs all the rest of the data).

    Is it possible to put the workbook (macro) I created in a shared network folder so that all the users (about 20) can use it at the same time (with all the functionallity of a simple database) or should I start to design it in Access?

    Re: Shared Excel Macro

    I suggest going with Access if you can. Shared workbooks are ofter problematic especially with macros.

    Features that are unavailable in shared workbooks
    Surround your VBA code with CODE tags e.g.;
your VBA code here
The # button in the forum editor will apply CODE tags around your selected text.
