Hi Guys,
Firstly let me apologise in advance for making an outright request for help, rather than at least offering something to work from, but I have never used VBA or Macros before and actually don't even know if they are different things or in fact a different way of referring to the same thing. However I am familiar with functions etc and don't believe that what I need can be achieved using a function. I am hoping that you might be able to shed some light on whether its possible with VBA and if so... offer a start point for where I might begin...
The Challenge.
I have a few hundred data files .gpx which I have converted to .xls files. Each file contains a lot of surplus data which is not needed. I need to extract the data from each file, which is found in D46 and E52 and add this data to a new worksheet; A2 B2, then for the next file extract the data from the same cells, but add it it to the next row of my sheet A3 B3.
Question.
Is it possible to create a macro that will perform this for all closed files in a single folder? If not is there a work around that might achieve the same goal coming at it from a different angle.
Here's hoping
