Need Columns to Feed to Replicated Questionnares

    Hello,

I have a work-related project that I was hoping someone could help me this.

In summary, I need 300+ columns to each feed to separate (but exactly the same) questionnaires. We want to pre-populate a few fields before printing them all out to give out to departments.

The solution I have come up with that will work, but mean a huge amount of manual work is:
    1. I will start with 1 of the questionnaire and have it reference the separate data table correctly with formulas
    2. I will make 300+ copies of the excel file from #1 and go into each one and update the formula very slightly, referencing a different column of data so it pulls the right information for that departments.
    3. I will also have to rename all 300 of the excel files to match the right department.

Does anyone know of an easier way?? I think I would need a macro, which I know very little about. The end goal would be for me to not have to go into each separate excel file and update a few letters in each of the fields.

I will attach sample files that show the solution I have right now. Ignore the fact that the addresses are listed twice. Any help or next steps would be appreciated. I probably haven't explained this perfectly.

    Hi,

It should be a simple task for a macro and probably relatively few lines of code.
Can you put together a mapping table that shows which cells on the questinnaire should be populated from the data table file and also define the format of the output file names and what it should contains.

Where do you get your 300 files from though? I can only see 13 data rows on the data file and even if they are replicated by three departments as shown that's still only 39 files.

Could you please expand on your first note about what you would need from me? I am not really following what you would need.

I posted those 2 excel files as samples. Basically it would be Department (1-356) instead of Department A, B, C.

Each department will have 1 questionnaire. So 1 questionnaire X 356 = 356 excel file questionnaires. The cells under each department will need to feed into the corresponding questionnaire field (which I understand I would need to table out for you)

    Hi,

So are you confirming that cell B1 on the Questionnaire will be replaced by the various B1, C1, D1, E1.....MS1 cell values on the Table workbook
Yes your last point is exactly what I meant when I said there would need to be a mapping table.

You didn't say what the format of each file name should look like. Remember the maximum path\file length is 218 characters.
