Macro to lock button with specific criteria

Hello Team,

I would like to lock the cells with a button with specific condition. When the Role Lead clicks on their named button, the cells until today, with the engineers assigned to them gets locked.

Attached is the sample sheet for reference on the objective I would like to achieve.

I am able to lock cells until previous day without a button using a Macro; However I would like to do the task now with a button and will be leader specific. Kindly assist.
