Copying Row based on part text in a Cell

Hello People

I have a need to copy some raw data into two groups based on part text of one cell with in each column. The information in the cell looks like CUTB/011/700 or PK003/001/001. The Text components are always the same but the numbers differ and I need to copy the CUTB to one location and the PK to another.


Any help gratefully accepted

Have you tried autofilters using a text filter with begins with CUTB. Copying and then pasting elsewhere will just copy the visible rows.

Hi Bob, any luck solving your problem? Is it only part of the string you want to copy, or the whole thing based on the starting text? Is it only CUTB and PK values that get copied, with other possibilities for text that you would NOT copy? can you maybe provide a sample sheet?
