formula showing as text after macro entry

When i run the following code the cells in column K are showing as =IFERROR(LEFT(J2,FIND(" - ",J2)-1),""). After researching it would appear that when entering this manually into column k the cell is formatted as text, changing it to general then doing an F2 and enter corrects the problem, any suggestions on how to do this with vba?

    Olly,

The suggested solution didn't work. The cell was still formated as text
