Hidding/Locking [Protecting Worksheet] & Slicers issue

Hi all, I need some help trying to protect my worksheet. The worksheet will be used by all throughout company [6 locations] on the intranet. Is there a way I can protect (hide/lock) my formulas in 4 columns but at the same time use the 3 slicers that are on the same worksheet? When I try to protect those 4 columns (or even those cells), I can’t figure out a way that will allow me to keep the slicers operational.

    Excel 2013
    Windows 8.1

Thank you all for your time and help!

    Hi,

    First unprotect your worksheet.

Right click your slicers and choose Size and Properties -> Properties. Unselect the "Locked" check box on all slicers.

Before protecting the worksheet, plz select "Use Pivottable Reports".

It works. I also needed to check off Use AutoFilter...it wasn't checked before, and it now works in combination of your suggestions.

But now I noticed a new problem (I WILL BEGIN A NEW THREAD), but it looks like when the slicer is used...the new set of data is reset...meaning empty rows below existing data does not have the drop down menus that are built into the worksheet when the slicer is reset (nothing chosen).

    Thank you again, Sakmsb!

(If you feel up to it...check out my other post...it has received a ton of views, but no responses "Buttons for Emailing, scheduling and sending reminders from Excel 2013").
