Saving csv file with Date Stamp

    Hi guys,

I have a macro that copies data from an Excel file to a csv file, I wan it to save the csv file with the date in the file name.

I have added what I thought would do the trick, but when I try to open the file I have created the file format extension does not match.

I know it is to do with how I am saving the file, and adding .csv at the end, but I'm not sure how to define the new file to be a csv file.

OK, I'm waffling now! If you need any more info, please ask

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi Drewan,

You have missed a "\" while assigning the variable and follow the file saveas prompts
I have updated the code and hope this works.

Re: Saving csv file with Date Stamp

    Hi Lokesh,

Thanks for your help, the file path was actually as intended, as the I wanted the date to be added to 'EvoUpload'.

The part I had missed was the part that specifies the file format as xlcsv, so thanks for that, all working now.

    Appreciate the help
