Randomly Select Worker Based On Eligibility (see details inside)

    Hey all,

I've got a bit of a complicated one for you, but I'm hoping you can hep!

Here is some dummy data: Attachment 352427

In the attached file, there are two areas: Employees and their skills and Orders. What I want to do is randomly assign a person who has a skill to work the order. For example, since Brad, James and Tom have "Yes" in the Shirts column (B3, B5 and B6), I want to randomly select either Brad, James or Tom to work that order and list their name as the worker for that order (in C11). I want to be able to randomly assign a worker for all 10 of the orders, and the randomly assigned worker has to have the skill to do the job (i.e. they have "Yes" for Shirts of Shirts is the order, "Yes" for Ties if Ties is the order, etc.)

Anyone have any thoughts how I can do this? I've been struggling with it for a bit and coming up blank.

    Thanks!!

    Hey,

Not to ask a dumb question, but how would I implement / run / test this in the Excel sheet? Can you possibly do it, upload it and explain to me what you did?
